Uploading to Gymlium

Once your template is packaged and validated, upload it through the Gymlium developer portal for review.

Developer portal

Access the developer portal. You’ll need a verified developer account (see Developer Account) to upload templates.

Upload process

Sign in to the developer portal

Log in with your developer account credentials.

From the dashboard, click My Templates in the sidebar. This shows all your submitted templates and their current status.

Click “Upload New Template”

Click the Upload New Template button at the top of the page.

Select your zip file

Drag and drop your your-template-name.zip file into the upload area, or click to browse your file system.

Review auto-extracted details

The portal reads your template.manifest.json and displays the extracted information:

  • Template name and description
  • Category and tags
  • Pricing type and amount
  • Preview images
  • Supported locales

Review these details and confirm they’re correct.

Submit for review

Click Submit for Review. Your template enters the review queue.

What happens after upload

  1. Automated validation — The platform runs the same validation checks as the local npm run validate command. If any checks fail, you’ll see the errors immediately and can fix and re-upload.

  2. Queued for review — If automated validation passes, your template is queued for manual review by the Gymlium team.

  3. Review in progress — A reviewer examines your template across multiple devices, locales, and theme modes. This typically takes 2-5 business days.

  4. Decision — You’ll receive an email notification with one of:

    • Approved — Your template is published to the marketplace
    • Changes requested — Specific issues to fix (see Review Process)
    • Rejected — Fundamental issues that require significant rework

You can check your template’s current status at any time from the My Templates page in the developer portal. You’ll also receive email notifications for status changes.

Re-uploading

If you need to fix issues and re-upload:

  1. Fix the issues in your local template
  2. Run validation again: npm run validate -- --template your-template-name
  3. Repackage: npm run package -- --template your-template-name
  4. In the developer portal, go to the template’s detail page
  5. Click Upload New Version
  6. Upload the updated zip file

Re-uploading resets the review queue position. To avoid delays, thoroughly validate and test before your initial upload.
